Mitsubishi is saying goodbye to the powerful Evo with a Final Edition model. There couldn’t have been any better send-off (other than not getting rid of the Evo) than this great video of the production of the Final Edition. Simply put, the video is mesmerizing. Even more so is the very idea of a Mitsubishi Evo Final Edition U.S. release date. In fact, Mitsubishi has set aside 1,000 units to be sold in Japan and 1,600 to be sold in the U.S. That means for those that are looking to have their very own Evo Final Edition, there is hope!

But, back to the Mitsubishi Evo Final Edition. It uses the Evo GSR and under the hood is a 2-liter turbocharged engine, delivering hp at 6,500 rpm. Equipped with bilstein and Eibach hardware, the car rides on 18-inch BBS wheels and inside is Recaro seats in the front and black leather paired with red stitching throughout the interior. So while the Final Edition will be the last we see of the Evo, Mitsubishi has hinted at replacing it with some sort of hybrid vehicle. We can’t wait to see what’s next.
