Typically when we see streetcar lines in the old photos in our carspotting series, we expect to see them ripped up in the modern-day street view, but that’s not the case with today’s photo of the Shaker Heights streetcar line on the east side of Cleveland – specifically at the intersection of Van Aken Boulevard and Drexmore Road – which reader Bobbie Martin came across in the Library of Congress’s collections. So in addition to the once-and-current streetcar lines, what do you see here?
