The new Audi TT RS has been caught by our spy photographers in Germany.
Up front, the RS has a reworked front fascia with, predictably, larger air intakes and a more aggressive appearance. On the sides, there will be deeper sills.
At the rear, the TT RS will feature two large oval exhaust tips on either side. Expect a redesigned rear bumper with a more overt appearance and a more prominent rear diffuser-style feature.
The car rides on low profile tyres, while stopping power is provided by large cross-drilled disc brakes at the front. This prototype, at least, seems to feature rather smaller rear discs.
Car Advice was told last year that the latest-generation TT RS will once again be powered by a turbocharged five-cylinder engine.
Although it’s not known how many litres the engine will displace, the five-pot motor will be heavily revised to meet emissions regulations. The previous-generation TT RS Plus generated a maximum of 265kW of power and 465Nm of torque.
The new Audi TT RS could debut as early as the Geneva motor show in March 2016.
