While this 1963 Buick Wildcat convertible for sale on Hemmings.com isn’t necessarily original with evidence of a repaint and other work done to it, neither is it fully restored or modified. The sellers point out that it does need a little work to make it a little more presentable – detailing, fixing up the seats – but that it runs and drives well as it sits, making for a good cruiser to soak up these last few weeks of summer. From the seller’s description:
I would call this a solid driver that my uncle bought and now has too many toys and needs to sell. He Bought this Wildcat from a fellow that had the car for many many years in Pennsylvania.
– Car is solid and runs very nice.
– Just did a brake upgrade (big booster) to make car stop well.
– Just had Engine Tune up with a new correct carburetor as well ( runs great )
– Under the car is solid but not detailed.
– Looks to have an older repaint but is in good shape and a very nice metallic red/ almost candy apple in color and still shines nice.
– I would call this a real nice looking classic American Convertible and somewhat rare old Buick. # 3 condition but can be taken to car shows and feel proud.
– You will not see to many or any of these 1963 Wildcats out at car shows.
– This car is good to get in and drive, have some top down fun, for a reasonable price. Its kind of a muscle car feel and sound and with smooth ride and looks.
— Power Top works great and soft top is newer and clean.
Car retains it original Nailhead V8 and automatic trans.
Seats are decent and firm but driver seat does have a tear ( see pic) but not bad can can be fixed with out too much issue.
Engine bay is decent but not detailed and could use some sprucing up.
