Photographer Fred Lyon captured San Francisco in a way few others did, particularly during the 1950s, though he’s still going strong as of this writing. Among his images are this one showing the steepness of Taylor Street at Pine, right on the side of Nob Hill, where the sidewalks need steps and the parked cars appear only a few degrees away from their tipping points.
