2016 Kia Soul Prices and Option Updates
Kia’s funky-fresh, urban hatchback won’t be rolling out an all-new design for 2016, but it will be adding some marginal changes and upgrades that are certainly worth noting. The Kia Soul first came to market in 2009, and it has stayed true to its one-of-a-kind personality that broke free from the cookie-cutter mold other automakers kept choosing. The 2016 Kia Soul prices and option upgrades show that it will continue marching to the beat of its own drummer in the auto industry.
The Kia Soul will yet again be available in three trims: base, + (plus) and ! (exclaim). The base model continues forward with a six-speed automatic transmission and the affordable price of $18,015. It still will be equipped with a 1.6L four-cylinder engine that churns out 130-horsepower and earns 24 city/ 30 hwy mpg. Stepping up to the 2016 Soul +, the price begins at $20,015 while the highest level, the Soul !, will start things off at $21,915.
Across all of the models, the Soul will be sporting alloy wheels and those considering the base model will now have the option to select the Convenience package which then includes a 4.3-in color touchscreen, Sirius XM satellite radio, and a rearview camera.
One of the new packaging options that will be offered for this year is the Designer Collection which improves styling details. Some of the changes that are made throughout include: two-tone exterior paint (a white body with red roof or red body with a black roof) as well as 18-inch black-spoke alloy wheels, and leather-wrapped steering wheel to make the gear shift knob.
Taking a look at the Soul ! trim in particular, there is a Premium package that is offered. It’s a great price jump because it includes such advanced technology that is brand new to the Soul; forward-collision warning and lane-departure warning have never been offered before.
As more information becomes available on the Soul, including when it is expected to arrive here at Briggs Kia in Topeka, KS, we will continue to keep you up to date. Until then, we encourage you to see how the Souls stacks up against the competition or learn more about the all-electric Soul.
