Daytona, before it became a mecca for stock car racing, hosted a series of speed trials every year, and in 1957 some big names took to the sand to wring out every last bit of performance from showroom stock (or, in the case of Smokey Yunick, “stock”) cars. This video from King Rose Archives, which Mac’s Motor City Garage posted this week, might not be long, but includes a good amount of action.
