Probably one of the things the general public remembers the most of Seventies AMCs is the Levi’s interior package; some folks even seem to expect that every Gremlin or Hornet had it. This 1977 AMC Gremlin X for sale on Hemmings.com, then, won’t disappoint them with its complete and apparently original Levi’s interior and a little bit of exterior flash in the form of hockey stripes and the mag-style wheels. From the seller’s description:
Best color, best interior and equipped just right with the original 258 2brl 6cyl engine, 4 spd manual transmission, cold factory AC, original AM/FM radio, original AMC sport wheels and working factory tach. The mileage is only 65,550 and believed to be correct. Car runs great and is a blast to drive and even more fun to show. At Sarasota’s very large AACA show last January this is the car that made the local ABC coverage of the event! You will get noticed everywhere you take it!
The car was repainted and restriped 3 years ago. It looks fantastic. The tranny was rebuilt 2 years ago and the clutch replaced. The AC system was completely redone this past spring. I drove this car from Tennessee to Florida last fall with no problem. The backup lights do not come on, the bumpers are nice but not perfect , the grey plastic grill has been repaired, and the rear tailgate window has no struts. The car has been Bright Blue for years but was originally pale blue. The car is located at my home in Florida and comes with a Tennessee title registered to me at my home there.
