RACERS PAY TRIBUTE The motorcycle industry takes to social media to honor Bernat Martinez and Dani Rivas, the two Spanish roadracers killed last weekend at Monterey.



Daniel Rivas race action Many riders, teams, and members of the motorcycle industry have turned to social media to remember Bernat Martinez, 35, and Dani Rivas, 27, the racers killed on Sunday in a multiple-bike collision at the start of the second MotoAmerica Superbike/Superstock 1000 race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Martinez, fifth overall in Superbike points coming into round seven, had qualified 15th for the pair of 23-lap races and finished 14th in race one. FIM CEV European Superbike racer Rivas was making his MotoAmerica debut. Devon McDonough, Cory Call, Kevin Pinkstaff, and Josh Chisum were also involved in the accident but their injuries were not life-threatening.
