Every time we came across this photo online, whether on Paul Malon’s Flickrstream or on the various other sites that have since reposted it, we saw no contextual information, so we thought we’d go digging. Jefferson Lincoln-Mercury seems a generic-enough name, and indeed we see mentions of dealerships with that name in Concord, California, and the Detroit area. Given the number of convertibles and hardtops in the photo, we figured it’d be located in Concord, but in fact we came across newspaper advertisements for a Jefferson Lincoln-Mercury at 3700 E. Jefferson in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. We’re not sure Google Maps has the street address right (understandable, given that Detroit has renumbered its streets in the past), but it at least gets us in the ballpark. What do you see here?
