If you’ve ever restored or refurbished a car, truck or motorcycle, chances are good you’ve used products from the Eastwood Company. Founded in 1978, Eastwood sells restoration supplies and specialty tools to professionals and home hobbyists alike, and on Thursday, July 9, its Pottstown, Pennsylvania, headquarters and warehouse was damaged by fire.

The good news is that no one was injured in the incident, and the actual fire damage was limited to the company’s warehouse and distribution center. The administrative offices received some smoke and water damage, as did merchandise in the adjacent warehouse, but most of the facility escaped serious damage.

Now for the bad news: the fire remains under investigation by local authorities, and shipping operations are on hold until this is wrapped up and the cleanup is complete. The company is still taking orders via the internet, and operations at its Alsip, IL, retail store remain unaffected. The Pottstown, Pennsylvania, outlet store (adjacent to the company’s headquarters) has also reopened, though hours may deviate from those posted online.

Eastwood will provide its customers with shipping updates as soon as they’re available, and expects to be back in operation in the very near future. Those with questions on outstanding orders can reach the company at orderhelp@eastwood.com.
