Mitsubishi Challenger release date
Mitsubishi sure knows how to spoil its loyal fans. After a new engine option for the 2015 Mitsubishi Sport and then the release of the new 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander we didn’t think it could get any better, but it has. The new Mitsubishi Challenger has been revealed! A release date for the Mitsubishi Challenger is anticipated to be announced later this year, but rumors are that the new SUV will be revealed this year and will go on sale in 2016.
What is the Mitsubishi Challenger?
The Mitsubishi Challenger is the next-generation version of the Mitsubishi’s SUV available oversees. It had many names including the Pajero Sport, Montero Sport, Shogun Sport, Strada G-Wagon, Nativa and more before Mitsubishi ended production in 2008. The U.S equivalent of the SUV is the Mitsubishi Outlander.

Could the Mitsubishi Challenger be available in the United States? It’s possible, but unlikely. The Mitsubishi Challenger is the next-generation of the automaker’s SUV in the overseas market and as the U.S. is getting a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander the overseas market is also getting a new Mitsubishi SUV. What we do know is that there are only sketches of the Mitsubishi Challenger circulating online and not much more information aside from that. Only time will tell if there are significant updates for the Mitsubishi Challenger and if it will be something the automaker wants to bring to the U.S. market.
No matter if the Mitsubishi Challenger ends up at Continental Mitsubishi or not, we are excited to see what other new vehicles are coming in the new future.
