Retired police cars have a following among collectors (many formerly in law enforcement), so it stands to reason that retired fire department cars would have a following as well (likely among retired fire fighters). This 1972 Plymouth Fury III, for sale on Hemmings.com, served out the first part of its life as a chief’s car, attached to San Francisco Fire Department Station 2. Equipped with the optional 400-cu.in. V-8, good for 190 horsepower, the Plymouth sports a new exhaust, new shocks and a rebuilt two-barrel carburetor. It also comes with turnout gear (use at your own risk), Scott Packs (ditto), accident forms and even a Kodak Instamatic camera, though we wouldn’t bank on the freshness of the cartridge film.
