For the first time in the 2015 MotoAmerica Superstock season, Aprilia HSBK Racing will run the new RSV4 RF (which Motorcycle.com will soon be testing against its liter-class rivals), with South African Sheridan Morais at the controls. Morais is a new addition to the team, having replaced the team’s original rider, Dustin Dominguez, at the previous MotoAmerica round at Road America.
Until now, the team had been campaigning a 2015 RSV4 Factory. The debut of the 2016 RSV4 RF coincides with the bike’s U.S. availability later this month. Says Aprilia, the new RSV4 RF is “more powerful, better handling, and lighter than the predecessor with a more dynamic class-leading electronics package.”
Morais immediately adapted to the RSV4, capturing second and third place finishes at the previous round at Road America, which was his first time on the bike and at the track.
The Aprilia HSBK Racing two rider team will continue competing with the 2015 RSV4, piloted by Devon McDonough, who currently sits 6th in standings, respectively.
