Now that the Apple Watch is the latest must have item, all the carmakers are jumping on the app bandwagon including Volkswagen.
Volkswagen’s “Car-Net” app will be able to lock and unlock your car doors, check the status of doors and open or close your windows.
Some other features include a map of the current vehicle location, remotely honking the horn, flashing the lights and the ability to monitor certain drivers in your household.
The VW app for Apple’s smart watch will only be able to work on certain trims of 2014 and later including the Beetle, CC, Jetta, Eos, Tiguan and Passat and on all trims of 2015 and later Golf models.
