If you’re a fan of classic Lincolns, the beautiful coastal town of Camden, Maine, is the place to be from May 28 through May 30, when both the Lincoln Owners Club and the Lincoln-Zephyr Owners Club will hold a joint meet in association with the nearby Owls Head Transportation Museum’s Spring Auto Show.

Convening officially their 2015 Eastern Regional Meet, the Lincoln Owners Club (LOC) has joined forces with the Lincoln-Zephyr Owners Club (LZOC), which will be celebrating its G.O.F (Gathering of the Faithful) XLVII, or, as they refer to it: Lincolns, Lighthouses and Lobsters.

Brownie Carson, an LOC member from Maine, who has been planning the event with the clubs, told Hemmings that there would be some very interesting cars in attendance, including his own 1930 Model L Sport Phaeton with Locke coachwork. Other vehicles expected at the event include a KB Dual-Cowl Phaeton, a ‘32 LeBaron-bodied car, a Dunham-bodied ’30 and a 1921 Leland Touring Car, one of the oldest known Leland/Lincolns still in existence. The LOC exists “to further the preservation of Lincoln motorcars: models L, K, KA, KB and K, produced from 1920 to 1940.”

The LZOC, committed to celebrating “Lincoln-Zephyrs of 1936-1942, Lincoln V-12’s of 1946-1948, Lincoln Customs of 1941-1942, and Lincoln Continentals of 1940-1948” also promises to bring more than their share to the G.O.F.

As for the Owls Head museum, its spring show slated for Saturday, May 30, is open to all pre-1995 vehicles and they encourage clubs to attend and bring their members and their cars. But the 40 or so Lincolns from the two clubs expected to attend will be the featured cars for the show, which will go on rain or shine.  Depending on the weather, Owls Head will also have a few demonstration flights from their vintage aircraft collection early in the morning as well as opening the museum during the show.

The members of the Lincoln clubs have also planned a leisurely coastal driving tour along with a sailing trip option on Penobscot Bay for the Friday, May 29, before the event.

The host hotel is as the Whitehall Inn in Camden, about a dozen miles or so from the Knox County Regional Airport that also serves as the home to the Owls Head Transportation Museum. The LZOC event information page lists additional stay options.
