One would have thought we’d come across all the possible highway opening photos on Vermont Landscape Change a couple years ago, but no, there’s more. Today’s photos, dated November 1970, depict the Burlington Belt Line – Vermont Route 127 – where it meets up with Manhattan Drive at its southern terminus. Are highway opening ceremonies with police escorts even a thing nowadays? And while we ponder that question, what do you see here?
