Even if there were visible clues in the background, or if you could read any license plates in this image, we wouldn’t suggest trying to figure out exactly where the photo was taken or how so many vehicles could get jammed into such a tight space. That’s because it wasn’t really taken anywhere – it’s a pre-Photoshop collage that Marathon Oil used for an ad that appeared in May 1970 in Newsweek, which SenseiAlan posted to Flickr. So while it might not be a genuine everyday street scene photo like all the rest in our carspotting series, it still includes plenty of vehicles to identify. What do you see here?
