With its sanctioned status of International Series by the FIA, Kia Lotos Race marks its tenth seasons fills aspiring racers with intensity



How fast would your heart race if you see skilled and energetic racers compete with their masterful driving skills tuned to Kia Picanto? Already on its 10th season, Kia Motors Polska is about to run yet another car racing events of their own, including the Kia Picanto Racing Championship of Poland. Consisted of six rounds of training and qualifying sessions and two main racing events, the Kia Picanto Racing Championship of Poland has one more reason to celebrate- its professionalism and widened participation in international arena have been recognized, and the season 2015 of Kia Lotos Race will be the first Polish cycle, dubbed the status of the International Series sanctioned by the FIA (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile)

The 10th Jubilee Kia Lotos Race will commence during the first weekend of May at the legendary Hungaroring the famous place among Formula 1 enthusiasts. Upon its return after two years, Kia Lotos Race aims to second the World Tourist Car Championship (WTCC). Here is a quick look at the events scheduled during the 2015 season:

          May 02-05:          Hungaroring (WTCC), Hungary

          May 23-24:          Zandvoort (Pinsterraces), Holland

          June 20-21:          Slovakiaring (WTCC), Slovakia

          August 08-09:       Poznań (WSMP), Poland

          August 29-30:       Most (ERC), Republika Czech

•          September 19-20:  Zolder (ETRC), Belgia

For those who may be less familiar, Kia Lotos Race Championship of Poland is the only Polish racing series run by an automotive brand, dedicated primarily for young and aspiring racers. The KLR is open to all participants as long as they hold a valid racing license and 15 years and up. Can you imagine that such young people may get to take the wheel of high-performance Picanto and start living their dream? All cars admitted to Kia Lotos Race areall technically identical so the drivers skills are the decisive factor for their win rather than amount of funds spent on preparing the vehicle for racing. The expenditure to own a Kia Picanto with complete racing equipment is just 10,000.  

Kia Lotos Race has been recognized also for the educational values it offers in all racing series. The KLR Championship events accompany some of theworld-renown racing series in other countries, so that Picanto racers have ample exposure to other sports competition at its highest level.As mentioned earlier, the KLR Championships seconded the World Touring Car Championship  (WTCC), the FIA European Truck Racing Championship, the GT1 World Championship or the famous German Deutsche Turenwagen Masters (DTM). Shouldering with such global events (events of this category are usually attended by as many as 25,000 spectators) have been quite an educational opportunity for the KLR participants who can benefit from seasoned racers vast experience.
