With Kansas City’s Kauffman Stadium and Royals franchise still a generation away, it’s not hard to pinpoint today’s carspotting photo – which we came across at Vintage Travels – as one taken outside Municipal Stadium, located at Brooklyn Avenue and 22nd Street, and home of the Kansas City Blues and Kansas City Monarchs until 1954, then the Kansas City Athletics from 1955 to 1967. Vintage Travels dates the photo to July 1955, so it’s the latter team playing this day. What do you see here?
