Bruce Meyer can lay serious claim to being the ultimate car guy. His reputation in our world has just been further enhanced, as he’s been named Enthusiast of the Year by the organizers of The Concours d’Elegance of America at the Inn at St. John’s in Michigan.
Bruce’s stellar collection includes everything from hot rods, like the red 1932 Ford immortalized on the U.S. Postal Service’s “Hot Rods Forever” stamp, to sports cars, to racing cars, like the 1957 Ferrari 250 TRC Testa Rossa once driven by Carroll Shelby and Phil Hill, which Bruce spent a decade tracking down across Europe. He was the first chairman of the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, is on the boards of both the Nethercutt Collection and the Mullin Automotive Museum, sits on the steering committees for the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and the LeMay Museum in Tacoma, Washington. He is a longtime participant and hardware winner at some of automobiledom’s most prestigious events, including Pebble Beach and the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The Concours of America takes place July 24-26 at the Inn at St. John’s in Plymouth, Michigan, in its 37th edition as one of America’s great car events. For more information, visit ConcoursUSA.org.
