First unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and subsequently made the Asian debut at the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show, Automobili Lamborghini announced that the production of the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce is limited to only 600 units worldwide. Out of the total 600, five units have been allocated for the Malaysian market.
As a refresher, the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce is an Aventador that has been working out at the gym. Not that the “normal” Aventador is a slow car to begin with (not by any chance!), the SV betters that by shedding away 50 kg and adds on another 50 hp.
The SV is powered by a naturally-aspirated 6.5-litre V12 mated to a 7-speed ISR transmission. Producing 750 hp and 690 Nm of torque, drive is sent to an all-wheel drive system that utilises a fourth-generation Haldex coupling system. The result is a century sprint time of 2.8 seconds, and a top speed in excess of 350 km/h.
Apart from the wild exterior add-ons that provides better downforce as well as a stripped-out cabin with new sports seats and lightweight material, the SV gets more toys as standard. It includes a new lightweight exhaust sytem, lightweight forged multi-spoke wheels, Carbon Ceramic Brakes, pushrod suspension system that incorporates adaptive Magneto Rheological Suspension (MRS), and also electromechanical Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS).
No info on the Malaysian price for this beast just yet, but in Europe, the SV carries a base price tag of €327,190 (approximately RM1.33 mil). If you’re keen on getting one, there’s a potentially disappointing news for you. All five units have been taken up by the time you read this. However, it is also reported that Lamborghini KL is looking to bring in more units to satisfy the demand here.
