2016 Kia Optima Will Debut at New York Auto Show

Out with the old and in with the new, the Kia Optima will be launching into a new generation for 2016. Only one picture of its new design is floating around ahead of its big debut that will be next week, April 1st. The 2016 Kia Optima will debut at the New York Auto Show.

Looking back, five years, this is when the third-generation Optima was unveiled and blew away every spectator’s expectations. Suddenly the Kia Optima was aggressive, it was sporty with the power to back up the appearance, and it quickly became a trendsetter and best-seller. Posted to the right is one of the sketches of the Optima, while above is the 2016 Optima in its true, new form.

The resemblance drawn between the sketch and actual Optima aren’t identical, there are some distinct differences, and it will be interesting to hear what Kia has to say when presenting its most popular vehicle within its lineup.

What’s lurking under the hood will also be revealed at the upcoming auto show. We are assuming that there still will be a hybrid version as well as turbo offering. As a Kia vehicle, there also will be a whole new listing of interior technology upgrades. Kia also has made it known that interior space will be greater and that nicer, more premium features will be used throughout the cabin.
