I’d swear that these two photos depict a place somewhere in California, but Vintage Travels, the Tumblog that found and posted them, notes that they were taken in Kansas City in July 1955, and indeed there’s quite a bit of tile roof architecture in the Kansas City area. So I’m going to guess this is somewhere on the Missouri side even though I’ve yet to track down the specific location. KC residents, can you help? And for the rest of you, what do you see in this parking lot?
