Kia e-AWD Soul Concept Teased
Kia is being all too secretive for the sake of our curiosity, but they have announced their intentions of creating a more rugged vehicle. It apparently will be based on one of it’s most popular vehicles, and based on this clue; speculations are that it is the Kia Soul.
While the Soul currently is an urban choice with a funky design, this new concept will have a more rough-and-tumble look. The only glimpse we have of what it may look like is the above when the Kia e-AWD Soul concept was teased just recently.
The reason why the assumption is based on the Kia Soul, is that when asked if the concept would be based on one of Kia’s CUVs, like the Sportage, Kia’s response was that they wouldn’t necessarily claim it as crossover. The Kia Soul isn’t classified as an SUV, but rather a compact car. It certainly doesn’t look like a typical car though, especially with its elongated, boxy build. So the best we have to make do with as of right now is the picture and teaser image that has been released, everything is still hush hush.
Lately all attention has been the on the totally revisited 2016 Kia Sorento, the large seven-seater that comes standard with all-wheel drive and was featured in a Super Bowl commercial for 2015. Overhauled and entering a new generation, the large crossover Sorento shows off a more muscular and and elegant build compared to years past.
Powered by an all-new 2.0L turbo engine, the sorento now delivers an even more dynamic, and engaging driving experience. Despite it’s larger size, it remains easy-to-handle and turns a respectable fuel economy rating of 22 city/ 29 hwy mpg. Even after having been redesigned, it still maintains a base price that is considerably lower than the competition, beginning at $24,900.
