Hemmings Find of the Day – 1951 Nash-Healey

While it looks from the paint scheme on the sides of this 1951 Nash-Healey for sale on Hemmings.com that some previous owner of the roadster had a case of Cunningham envy, that’s about as far as the mimicry went, as we can see from the Nash six-cylinder still under the hood and the stock chassis. It all needs put back together, if not treated to a full or partial restoration, but it nevertheless appears to be a decent starting point for somebody willing to push their sleeves up and dig in. From the seller’s description:

3.8 liter in-line 6, Chassis Number N2025, Motor number NHA 1028, Hood number 24

This car was purchased in need of restoration from the family of the original owner. The car is original other than the paint, which was customized by the original owner. Paint was removed from driver’s side rear quarter panel by current owner to determine whether the original color was maroon or ivory, the only 2 colors that were offered for the car.

All parts appear to be with the car, including the extremely rare clock in the rear view mirror, and the original owners manual. The car has been documented in the Nash-Healey registry. It has the special pull-up side windows, no rust or rot, and appears to have all the parts present.
