While both of our recent trips through Anthony Catalano’s archives yielded some neat carspotting photos from either right on his street or right around the corner, today’s batch shows Anthony branching out a little, both in terms of location and style. We’ll start with the above photo, showing a bustling 13th Avenue looking north from 53rd Street. Below, Anthony’s house on 57th, a photo distorted by his use of a Quaker Oats can as a pinhole camera. And at the bottom, at 58th and 13th, St. Frances de Chantal parochial school. What do you see here?
