Kia X-Car: X-Men Special Edition Kia Sorento
We’ve seen Batman shoot around in his batmobile, tricked out with hi-tech gadgets galore, and we’ve seen Wonder Woman’s invisible jet….well, sort of. It’s fun to speculate what different heroes or villains would drive, and since X-Men: Days of Future Past was released just this year, fans have been curious what the mutants would cruise around in. Well, we can guarantee that the Wolverine would drive something like the Kia X-Car: X-Men special edition Kia Sorento.
The Sorento shows off a grille that looks like black chain-mail with a black glossy X centered below the Kia emblem. On either side of the grille, intersecting the headlights are three metal wolverine claws with red accents lining the front end of the Sorento. A red pinstripe follows along the headlights and outlines a clawed-through X just below the rear passenger door. The back end of the Sorento also has three long claws that are hopefully retractable, or else good luck popping the lift-gate.
The Kia X-car will debut at the Australian Open 2015 and is a product of collaborating with Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment in order to promote the release of the latest X-Men movie on DVD, Blu-ray, and Digital HD. At the Australian Open, which Kia is sponsoring, at some point there will be a video of tennis star Rafael Nadal climbing into the Sorento with a few of the mutants and taking it for a spin.
Kia did something similar to this a few years back when it turned a five of its most popular models into Justice League designed vehicles at SEMA for charity. Present at the show was Flash’s Kia Forte Koup, the Green Lantern’s Soul, the Cyborg’s Forte Five-Door, and Aquaman’s Rio Five-Door.
