2016 Kia Sorento Debut at LA Auto Show
Industry leaders held off until the L.A. Auto Show to premiere some of the most highly anticipated and exciting new models soon to come. Sports cars, muscle cars, anything high performance is typically expected to wow the media and spectators present, but one unlikely character demanded all eyes and full attention to its re-design–the 2016 Kia Sorento’s debut at the LA Auto Show.
The all-new Sorento was first introduced this past September in Paris, but this was its first official reveal here in the the States. Entering its third generation, the 2016 Kia Sorento flaunts five different trim levels that all include a new chrome grille. In addition to a redesigned exterior, the entire quality of the ride has greatly been improved, making for a quieter and smoother drive for all passengers involved. The Sorento is still as flexible as ever, able to seat seven passengers if need be, while the second and third rows of seating can be folded flat to make for additional cargo space.
Once inside, drivers will note the clean and crisp display of the 2016 Sorento’s dash and center stack. The brand new dashboard shows off just how long and spacious the Sorento’s cabin has become while the buttons and controls are easier to reach and function for both the driver and front seat passenger.
Under the hood, drivers will find a choice in three different engines, each more powerful than the next. First up is the 2.4-liter inline 4-cylinder, followed by the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, and finally there is the 3.3-liter V6 engine for maximum power.
