To be more fuel efficient than before.
Motorbeam.com’s reader Mr. Abhishek Goyal has come up with what appears to be a leaked image of the soon-to-be-launched Yamaha SZ-RR BlueCore. Yamaha’s BlueCore technology debuted in the new FZ FI V2.0 series.
The BlueCore technology incorporates a set of efficiency enhancing measures like improved combustion, reduced power losses in the engine and increased precision in fuel flow control. While the FZ FI V2.0 series comes with fuel-injection system, the BlueCore technology will be made available in carburated models as well and the SZ-RR appears to be the first of such products.
The premium commuter which shares its 153 c air-cooled engine with the old FZ series currently produces 12.1 PS (11.92 bhp) and 12.8 Nm of torque. The motor is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The implementation of BlueCore technology is not likely to influence the output figures but the fuel economy is expected to be improved.

Going by the leaked image, the SZ-RR is also set to receive a new black and lime green dual-tone color theme and new graphics to differentiate itself form the regular SZ and SZ-R variants.
