According to Vintage Las Vegas, the Silver Slipper at one time – specifically 1959, when this photo was taken – stood in what is now the empty lot across from Wynn’s Encore on the Las Vegas Strip, just caddycorner from the Gold Key Motel that featured in our recent look at a gloomy day in Sin City. From the packed parking lot, should we presume that Hank Henry was a big draw at the time, or was it simply a good day to go gambling? What do you see here?
