The Zyrtec app for Google Assistant helps you prepare for allergy season by enabling ways for you to interact with it, in hopes of avoiding any potential unpleasantness that can typically come along with being allergic to stuff. While the new tool is not necessarily robust in the sense that it has plenty of features for you to play with, it does allow you to ask a couple of useful questions that may help you stay ahead of stuffy noses and itchy, watery eyes.
With the tool being powered by Google Assistant you can access it either from your Google Assistant-enabled device or through a Google Home speaker, and the main feature is called the AllergyCast, which is a daily report of allergy-related information like the pollen count in the air at the current time which may come in handy if you suffer from excess amounts of pollen. The AllergyCast will also give you information on the local weather, and the predominant allergens that can be found in the area. It goes without saying that the results you receive in the AllergyCast would be based on your configured location as Zyrtec will ask you what your city and state are, but this can be changed as well if you need to get the information based on a different location.
There is also a customized allergy impact score that you can receive as part of the forecast, which takes data from 41,000 U.S. zip codes and pools it together to give you some insight on how much the allergies in your area may impact you. To get things started, all users have to do is activate Google Assistant then ask Google to talk to Zyrtec, which will then bring up the Zyrtec app and open up interaction on allergy information. In addition to the AllergyCast for the current day you can also ask about the following day and you can tell Zyrtec that “you’re feeling” to get a quirky response.
