NVIDIA is pushing an update to both the SHIELD Tablet and the SHIELD Tablet K1 that contains the January 2018 security update as well as a fix for the Spectre vulnerability.
It’s a small update. It’s not the latest security patch. It’s not Oreo. Why is this noteworthy? Because the SHIELD Tablet K1 is almost two and a half years old, and the SHIELD Tablet is just a few months shy of four years old. Yet NVIDIA is pushing a security update to the devices. That’s impressive.
