When is the 2018 St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Chicago?
This year, the 2018 Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on St. Patrick’s Day which falls on Saturday, March 17. The parade will begin at noon, so be sure to find your spot to watch before then! Earlier in the day, spectators can also watch the dyeing of the Chicago River, which happens at 9 am between Columbus Drive and Michigan, Avenue.
What is the 2018 Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade Route?
The starting point of the 2018 Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade is the corner of Balbo Ave and Columbus Drive. The route then goes north on Columbus, ending on Monroe Street.
Prior to the 2018 Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Irish Chicagoans and Irish enthusiasts can begin the celebrations early with the South Side Irish Parade, which will take place on Sunday, March 11th at noon. The parade starts on 103rd and continues down Western Avenue to 115th Street.
