The rollout for Android Wear 2.0 is a slow and steady process, but owners of two LG-branded smartwatches can be happy knowing the update is now coming their way.
LG has announced that both the LG Watch Urbane and LG G Watch R are now getting an update to Android Wear 2.0. This is a typical over-the-air update, so it will happen in a gradual rollout, which basically means you should keep an eye out for the update from this point forward.
Meanwhile, LG says that owners of the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition will have to wait a bit longer, as the Android Wear 2.0 update for that smartwatch is not scheduled to begin rolling out until sometime in the beginning of May.
With the new software, the wearables will get the big new additions, including access to Google Play, an on-screen keyboard, and more.
