Zoo Lights at the Lincoln Zoo
The Lincoln Zoo has been transformed into a light spectacular with thousands of twinkling Christmas lights and decorations for families to see. Each night, the first 1,000 people to visit the exhibition of Holiday spirit will be given special glasses to look at the lights with. There are also other activities happening including ice skating, nightly ice carving demos and hot beverages.

This is the largest open-air market in the Chicago area that celebrates German ancestry and the holiday season. The market was first founded in Germany in 1545 and has made its way to the windy city with iconic German holiday décor and authentic German cuisine.

Morton Arboretum Holiday Lights
The Morton Arboretum’s 50 acres of nature is lit up with colorful LED lights for visitors of all ages to enjoy. There is a one-mile path featuring video and sound media elements as well as a trail through the woods with dancing lights timed to classic holiday tunes. There are even trees that will respond to hugs!

Performance Times for The Nutcracker Chicago

The Nutcracker ballet has been a holiday tradition at the Chicago Philharmonic since the 1980’s and you can see it this holiday season as the tradition lives on. Navy Pier Winter WonderFest 2016

This event is definitely a must-see. The carnival is held each year on Navy Pier with activities such as a toboggan tunnel, winter mini golf and a now tubing hill. For 2016, WonderFest will run from December 5 – December 31, 2016, opening at 10 a.m. each day. General admission is $10 per person.
