I'm so excited for this month's Makeup Edit because I've been using a bunch of new products and they've all been so amazing. For May, I've been using a lighter base, with an emphasis on glowing skin and pops of pink. This has been a fun month for makeup because it's starting to heat up a bit, so I get to start pulling out my summer blushes and lip colors.
Clinique's Sculpting Highlight Chubby Stick* is making yet another appearance because I just cannot stop using the stuff. It's my current favorite product to give my skin a luminous glow, and it's incredibly hand for on-the-go. To add a bit of color to my cheeks, I've been relying on Pixi's new Beauty Blush Duo in Peach Honey*. Pixi keeps kicking out product after amazing product, and I couldn't be happier. This baby is a blush and highlight duo, and I've been loving just swirling the two together to create the prettiest glowy peach cheek. It's a super flattering look, especially now that we're getting into the warmer months.
I've tried to keep my eyes really simple lately (mostly because I've just been too lazy to do anything fancy, haha). I've been applying Clinique's Chubby Stick Shadow Tint in Bountiful Beige* all over the lids for a shimmery champagne look that's perfect for everyday. Next, I'll line my top lash line with Pixi's new Lash Link Ink*, and then line my waterline and tightline with their Endless Silky Eye Pen in Slate Gray*. The two together help define my eyes without too much work on my part, which is perfect on days when I'm in a rush. To completely the look, I apply a coat or two of Rimmel's Super Curler Mascara in Extra Black*. I've actually been pleasantly surprised by this mascara and how well it works for my lashes - it adds volume, length, and curls them without me having to use an eyelash curler beforehand.
For my lips, I've been bouncing back and forth between two products. Most days I'll just pop on some of Pixi's Tinted Brilliance Balm in Baby Bare* to add some hydration and a bit of color to my lips. If I'm wanting something a little more showy, I'll use Buxom's Full-On Lip Polish in Julie, which is a juicy watermelon shade. This is a really fun lip gloss because not only is the color bright and glistening, but it also plumps your lips up for the perfect kissable pout. The cool thing about having both of these in my makeup bag this month is that I've been able to use them together when I've wanted to create a full, more "polished" makeup look.
