In order to be named to the Autotrader Must Test Drive list, a vehicle had to be of the current or next model year and have a base price under $75,000. Autotrader then scored the vehicles on a five point scale in five different categories: exterior styling, interior quality, cargo capacity, included and available technology and ride quality. Award winners had to score a four or better in all categories.
