Will the Kia GT4 Stinger Be Produced?
Take a look at the 2015/2016 Kia lineup. Does it feel like there might be something missing? Sure there is a wide range of vehicles, beginning with the compact Rio, and working up to the midsize sedan range where the Optima and Cadenza reside. Then we have the funky, fresh Kia Soul, as well as different sized crossovers like the Sportage and Sorento, even the minivan Sedona. Still, does it feel like something else should belong?

It’d knock the socks right off of the hamsters, that’s for sure, but Kia is also talking about producing a “sporty four-door coupe,” perhaps something that would contend with the Nissan Maxima? Quite a bit of time has since passed, and Kia describes it as, “the thinking person’s muscle car and there have even been some rumors floating around that we could see a variation of this concept within the next year or so.
It too would be a powerful sedan, packing a 3.3L turbo engine that is able to max out just 5 shy of 400 horsepower. The last time automotive journalists spoke with the head of Kia production planning for the United States, the outlook on the GT4 Stinger didn’t look quite as good as the future for the GT Concept.
