Chevrolet built 411,038 examples of its personal luxury coupe in the final year of second-generation production, but most have long since gone on a one-way trip to the scrapyard. This low-mileage 1977 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, for sale on Hemmings.com, appears to be one of the better examples remaining, with the seller (the car’s second owner) stating that just 29,582 miles have passed beneath the Monte’s 15-inch wheels in the past 38 years. The original owner opted for the base 305-cu.in. V-8, rated at 145 horsepower, but even the optional 350-cu.in. V-8 was only rated at 170 horsepower by 1977.
