2016 Kia Rio Now Available

The Kia Rio returns for 2016 in both its sedan and hatchback forms.This isn’t a redesign year for the subcompact Rios but they have received a number of mild technology updates and styling updates. The 2016 Kia Rio in Topeka KS is officially available here at Briggs Kia, and we are excited to tell you more about this updated edition to the 2016 lineup.

The noticeable physical updates include front and rear fascias that have been revised. If you study the front closely, you’ll be able to see that its grille pattern now matches the Optima and the Soul. Set on either side of the grille, the headlamps have been slightly moved inward and brand new fog-lights circle around the projector lenses.

Moving around to the back of the vehicle, you’ll see that the Rio has newly designed taillamps that have been relocated to the the far corners of the vehicle.

The trim levels stay the same for 2016; there still will be the LX, EX, and SX. All three models will be powered by a 1.6L 4-cylinder that earns 27 city/ 37 hwy mpg. As a compact car, the 2016 Rio is still able to muster up 138 horsepower and offers a variety of creature comforts including: paddle shifters, power-folding mirrors, a rear-camera display, and more.

Also new for 2016, two more colors have been added to the palette; in addition to Bright Silver, Clear White, Signal Red, and Aurora Black, there now is Digital Yellow and Urban Blue.
