Except for a few rare examples, nobody’s gonna buy a Gremlin just to sock it away in a climate controlled bubble and never drive it again. That doesn’t bode well for their survival rate, of course, but AMC made plenty of them, and any car can be fixed and restored. Take this 1972 AMC Gremlin X for sale on Hemmings.com, a rust-free car that has undergone a complete restoration and that remains just as roadable as it was when new with its six-cylinder and automatic transmission.
