We need to see more of this. I’m not necessarily talking about four-doors, or about big engines disguised as smaller ones, or about blackwalls and dog-dish hubcaps, as exhibited on this 1967 Chevrolet Bel Air for sale on Hemmings.com. They’re all intriguing elements and we can debate them all to the moon and back, but what I’m delighted to see on this Bel Air is somebody actually putting clear plastic seat covers on an old car instead of taking them off. I only wish the seller had taken it a step farther and pre-yellowed the seat covers before installing them. From the seller’s description:

Some front trim in NOS. I bought this car from a South Dakota dealer advertised with original 9700 miles a few years ago. I still have the orignal dealer add and traced this down to the original selling dealership. I have a clear NJ title showing mileage is original. I had the clear seat covers professionally installed to preserve the seats.
