After teaser photos and videos prior to the Geneva motor show, the Nissan Sway concept car has finally been revealed in full.

Said to be inspired by the iDX concept cars, the Sway employs many of the same visual cues that are present on the much larger Murano SUV and American Maxima sedan. These include the “V-motion” grille, and character and window lines that dramatically rise and fall.

According to Nissan’s measuring tape, the Sway is 4.01 metres long, 1.78m wide, stands 1385mm tall and sits on a 2570mm wheelbase.

That’s some 230mm longer from end to end, 115mm wider, and with a roof that’s 130mm closer to the ground than the current-generation Nissan Micra. The Sway’s wheelbase is also 120mm longer than the Micra’s.

Should the styling cues used on the Sway make their into the Micra’s replacement, expect that car to lose the concept vehicle’s suicide doors.

The Sway also features a panoramic glass roof, which has been fitted with lop-sided X-shaped cross brace in order to improve the car’s structural rigidity.

In the centre of the dashboard, the Sway features a large tablet-style display for the entertainment and navigation system.
