Will start a new breed of MPV variants.

Recently, a partly disguised fully-ready prototype of the upcoming Chevrolet Activ MPV was caught at a parking area in Sao Paulo, Brazil, confirming that its launch is getting closer.

The Brazilian Chevrolet Spin Activ gets special body graphics, rough road kit, black heavy bumper and alloy wheels.

The pictures reveal 3/4th of the MPV that exposes the front rugged bumpers, smoked headlamps, black tough body panels, and side graphics with the “Activ” name. Exclusive to the Spin Activ are 16-inch alloy rims, door mirrors finished in gloss black, and a spare tire mount on the back door.

Compared to the Spin MPV, the interior of the Activ variant remains unchanged, with notable features like dual airbags and steering-mounted audio controls.

The biggest change at the rear is the inclusion of the exposed spare wheel.

Tha Activ will only be sold in the top-end LTZ trim, and will be powered by a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine that outputs 109 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 142 Nm of torque at 3,800 rpm. It drives the front-wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission, or a manual gearbox (unconfirmed).

The Indonesian spec Spin Activ does not get an exposed spare wheel.

The Spin Activ, without the exposed spare wheel, was recently showcased at the 2014 IIMS (Indonesian International Motor Show) where it holds a price tag of 203.2 million Indonesian rupiah (INR 10.30 lakhs).
